The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the primary party to begin their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.
This warrior group consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.
Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might look mismatched, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the team understands precisely where to go next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each character has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants retribution.
- Kattigan knows the northern area and warns that it is a nasty location.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the team access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:
- Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This means them no alternative but to head to the northern region in quest for the traitor.
